Meet Carolyn Fields, RMHCI
Carolyn Fields is a Registered Mental Health Intern with experience in a variety of settings including inpatient mental health and detox, intensive outpatient eating disorder treatment, and community mental health. Through her work, she realized the importance of understanding and working with emotions—especially the unpleasant ones—in the pursuit of healing. Carolyn brings a grounded, curious, collaborative presence to therapy, knowing that meaningful change begins when people feel safe enough to be themselves.

Her approach to therapy is integrative and borrows from the theories of person-centered, emotion-focused and dialectical behavioral therapy, with a special emphasis on mindfulness. Together, Carolyn and her clients get curious about emotions together, examining how to experience them with non-judgmental awareness and compassion.
She believes in the power of compassionate witnessing and the importance of a supportive, affirming environment in which clients feel seen, heard and supported as they navigate growth and healing. Carolyn approaches every therapy session with a warm, deep respect for each person’s unique story.
Carolyn Fields holds a Master of Arts in Counselor Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy.
Her professional experience includes work at a local eating disorder treatment center where she supported clients through coordinated, compassionate care. She also has served as a Care Coordinator and Emergency Screening Coordinator, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to assess client needs, manage crisis situations and ensure timely access to appropriate services.
Carolyn is a Registered Mental Health Intern, practicing under the supervision of Dr. Farrell and Dr. Suplicy.
